Fruit Heights Founder’s Day this Saturday Aug. 8

by Janet Thaeler on August 6, 2009

Don’t forget to go to Fruit Heights Founder’s Day this Saturday. The Fruit Heights web site doesn’t say a lot about it so I called them. It’s from 5-8:30 at Nicholl’s Park in Kaysville (1074 Nicholls Rd). They have food vendors (last year they had cotton candy, dutch oven food and cake from what I remember). There are games for the kids and entertainment. Everything is affordable and it’s a great family event. It’s also a good opportunity to meet the community.

If you’re going, please take pictures for me! We will be at the Utah Symphony at Deer Valley (where we volunteer). We’ve had bad luck not being able to go to any of the city events and we missed the parade and 24th celebrations. So if you go, have fun and tell me how it goes. I’m going to interview Catherine Sterling, Fruit Heights 100th citizen to help commemorate founder’s day. Stay tuned.
