When I moved to Fruit Heights last year I kept getting lost on my way home. I missed the freeway exit every day or two, would drive by our house but not be able to figure out how to get there. My husband and I had a good laugh about it.
I just remember thinking, there must be a fruit stand here. I found one and it’s one of the few places I regularly go and look forward to opening each year. In my mom’s family (my many aunts) we joke that in our family we can’t drive by a fruit stand without stopping.
The Kaysville Farmer’s Market is a small fruit stand on Main Street in Kaysville, right across the street from Albertson’s (170 W 200 N
Kaysville, UT). They have different fruits and vegetables according to what’s in season. Here are some highlights
- They get raspberries and blackberries from the USU experimental farm down the street. They are AMAZING.
- Check the cooler up front – they often have fresh peach salsa.
- Basil for $1 a bag.
- Delicious corn, green beans, fingerling potatoes, apples, etc.
Right now nectarines and peaches are in season. Open from 10-7 well into the Fall months.
If you want some fresh blackberries call Linda Frost, $28 a flat. Call 801-546-6232 to reserve yours.
