Looking for some fun & free events to do with your family? First, one of my favorite company blogs is the King Arthur Flour blog Baker’s Banter. They are coming to Utah to teach us how to make pie crusts and bread. 2 hours, recipes, tips, etc. No registration required, just show up – 4 chances to participate:
Layton UT – Davis Conference Center (800 West Heritage Park Blvd). 12pm demo of sweet yeast bread. 7pm demo on perfect pies & tarts.
Sandy UT – Salt Lake Community College Larry H. Miller Campus Auditorium. same times and events as Layton.
Provo UT – Provo Marriott Hotel – same time and events as Layton.
Salt Lake City UT – Sheraton Hotel – 11am sweet yeast bread demo, 3pm perfect pies & tarts.
Next Saturday, Feb. 20 is a Chinese New Year Celebration at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts at the University of Utah. Dragon dance performances. A discussion on Chinese art plus the chance for kids to make paper lanterns, animal hats, etc. 1-4pm. They request a donation of canned food for the Utah Food Bank.
