I too wish to express gratitude for posting about Christie. I was her roommate at BYU directly after my mission. I will always remember her positivity and energy. She was a true inspiration to me. She took great pride in everything she did. She loved teaching at the Missionary Training Center, and she was instrumental in encouraging me to work there. Christie will always have a special place in my heart.

Thank you for your post. I also was shocked to see her name in BYU’s magazine. Christy was my roommate after my mission (and hers). She was such an inspiration and such an amazing friend. Truly “salt of the earth.”

Christie was my roommate our Sophomore year at BYU after meeting in the dorms our Freshman year. She had a personality that seemed as big as her hair sometimes! She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing any chance she could get. I remember how excited she was when she won the Helaman Halls talent show singing ‘Summertime”. She talked about her mission all the time. She loved being a servant of the Lord. I was shocked when I read this in the BYU magazine and have also struggled to find anything about her. Thank you for posting this blog in her memory.
