Cutest Family Costume Idea for Halloween

by Janet Thaeler on October 20, 2011

I saw this Halloween costume idea from a friend on Facebook and loved it. It reminds me of my brother Jared who always has creative ideas.

We have a new baby this Halloween and if we didn’t already have our family costumes picked out I’d be tempted to do this. My husband Stephen would make a great chef.

Stephen and I could both dress up as chefs (or I could be an oven) and say, look what we cooked up! It would be fun for a baby announcement or even the front of a Christmas card. I’m trying to think what our son could be – a fork?

Here’s where you can find a Lobster Infant Costume (they have a few varieties, including bunting). You can find more baby Halloween costumes here.

Last year one of my favorite family costumes from our neighborhood was little red riding hood (Ella), the grandma (mom), the wolf (dad) and 2 sheep (the twins). Hopefully I remembered that right!

It’s great how everyone is decorating their houses – I hope to post some pictures. We put some black crows near our door. It really takes people off-guard and scares them because they think they are real. I wish I could find more.

What are your ideas for dressing up for Halloween this year? I can’t wait to see everyone when they come trick-or-treating or at a party!
