I recently got a chance to review a Grandway vintage style apron. When I first got my apron I planned on giving it away as a gift. But then the way my husband reacted…well, I decided I wasn’t giving it up! Let’s just say you won’t just be cooking in the kitchen. I got the Lindy, which is a pink floral design. It’s a little retro and a lot fun and flirty. What I love most though is how feminine all of the aprons are, almost like wearing a dress (without having to actually wear a dress).
After noticing how stylish the apron is, the next thing I noticed is how well-made they are. The fabric is really thick and sturdy, (but washable) and has a pocket in front. The waistband is wide to make you look slim and it’s so stylish you won’t need to take it off when your guests arrive. In fact, you’ll want to keep it on.
There are kitchen gloves to match (I like the orange ones and the black designs are so so sassy too). Grandway aprons carries other products too, including oil cloth aprons (including half aprons) with lots of pockets to carry tools, supplies, or even paint brushes (for the artists out there). You’ll protect your clothes and they won’t get stained. I want one for gardening but I think they’d be great for the kitchen too. No washing machine needed, just wipe them off.
Right here I start to drift off thinking about all the other products they could make. Like aprons in size 2 (for my toddler, who always makes a mess). And what about oil cloth purses, kid’s aprons (for painting) or even baby bibs?
Here are some of my favorite gloves (forget using the dishwasher, these gloves almost make you want to do the dishes).
What I like the most about Grandway, besides that they are a locally based company right here in Utah (Draper), is they support a good cause. Their products are more than just good looks, no substance. The owners opened a factory in Honduras and employ 200
people there, providing new skills and decent paying jobs to a very poor country. You have to admire that.
Go check out the aprons – and the next time you need to look good while cooking (all of the time if you live in Fruit Heights!) or bring a hostess or bridal shower gift, you know giving a gift like this will make you look really good.
